Today, on 04/02/2025, as part of the Month of Science at the M. O. Auezov South Kazakhtan Research University, Faculty of the Department of «Life Safety and Environmental Protection» of the Faculty of Architecture, Construction and Transport, an international round table «Environmental and industrial safety as the basis for sustainable development of the Republic Kazakhstan » was held online in 350 auditorium of the main building., dedicated to the issues of environmental and industrial safety as key factors of sustainable development of Kazakhstan. The event brought together leading experts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Russia to discuss current challenges and share best practices in the field of occupational safety, industrial and environmental safety. The key presentations were presented by the following speakers: 1. Sulaimanov Sunatilla Sulaimanovich, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor (Tashkent State Transport University, Uzbek National University) Topic of the report: "Modern problems of labor protection in railway transport in Uzbekistan"; 2. Kopytkov Vladimir Vladimirovich, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Lieutenant Colonel (University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus) Topic of the report: "Maintaining industrial safety at chemically hazardous enterprises (using the example of JSC Kronochem)"; 3. Logacheva Ekaterina Alekseevna, PhD, Associate Professor (Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology and Engineering named after N. I. Vavilov) Topic of the report: "Amino acid markers of environmental pollution" During the round table, the participants discussed modern approaches to ensuring industrial safety, environmental risks and ways to minimize them, as well as international experience in the field of sustainable development. Special attention was paid to cross-border cooperation and the introduction of innovative technologies. The event ended with a summing up, during which experts noted the importance of further cooperation between the countries to address global industrial and environmental challenges.
