Research work of the Department.

The department has carried out and is carrying out a number of fundamental, applied and risk-based research funded by Ministries and development institutions, in particular:

- Research was carried out on the grant project AP 05132500 "Fundamental studies of the electrochemical behavior of sulfides of non-ferrous, rare and precious metals of Kazakhstan with access to the development of effective innovative technologies for their complex, waste-free processing to produce metal nanopowders and nanocubes" for 2018-2020. GU of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan with financing in the amount of 65,000,000 tenge. (Scientific supervisor – Candidate of Technical Sciences, associate Professor Kolesnikov A.S.);

- Implementation of AP15473389 "Development of innovative technology for processing man-made waste from lead production to obtain non-ferrous metals and increase the level of life support" Competition for grant financing of research by young scientists under the Zhas Galym project for 2022-2024. GU MNiVO RK with financing in the amount of 2,897,238 tenge. for 2023. (Scientific supervisor – teacher Bagova Z.I.)

- Carrying out research on the grant project AR 15473446 "Development of biotechnology of feed protein from plant raw materials" Competition for grant financing of research of young scientists under the Zhas Galym project for 2022-2024. GU MNiVO RK with financing in the amount of 2,034,128 tenge for 2023. (Scientific supervisor – teacher Makhatov Zh.B.)

- Carrying out research on the grant project AP19175875 "Obtaining multi-purpose thermal insulation products based on natural raw materials and man-made waste" Competition for grant financing of young scientists under the Zhas Galim project for 2023-2025. GU MNiVO RK with financing in the amount of 7893650 tenge for 2023. Scientific supervisor – Ph.D., Associate Professor Kocherov E.N., (Scientific consultant - Ph.D., Professor Kolesnikov A.S.)

Research within the framework of program-targeted financing Project BR18574143 "Development and implementation of groundwater purification technology and provision of drinking water to the population and animals of an agricultural enterprise" for 2023-2024. GU MNiVO RK with financing in the amount of 100,000,000 tenge for 2023. (Scientific supervisor – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor M.I. Sataev)

5. Educational work of the department

The winners of the competition «35 nominal scholarships», organized by the university management, were students of our department «Life Safety and environmental protection» group SM-20-9k1 of the department Utegen Margarita Nematulovna-scholarship named after. Akkagaza Doszhanova, student of the SM-20-9 group Amanzholova Zarina Maratovna - scholarship named after Naila Bazanova, a student of the SM-21-9k2 Kuanyshbai Zhansaya Yerlanovna group, is the winner of the Baldyrgan Kozhamkulova scholarship.

35 scholarships were awarded in honor of 35 people who made a significant contribution to the development of the Kazakh people, who left their mark in history. In order to identify the best students, stimulate them, encourage scientific potential, promote the names and merits of outstanding Kazakh citizens, 35 students were awarded a nominal scholarship of 100,000 tenge.

Young talents of the educational program 6B11210 "Environmental protection and life safety" 2nd year students Tleuov Arlen and Dauletbek Ayaulym, 3rd year student Kuanyshbai Zhansaya, 4th year students Amanzholova Zarina, Imamadin Aruay and Utegen Margarita were awarded bronze medals of the republican program "EL UMITI Medal".

The EL UMITI Medal program was conducted in the following areas: sports, talent and skills, reading books, national heritage, volunteering.

From April 20 to April 21, 2023, at Taraz University, in the discipline "Fire safety" among students of higher educational institutions OP 6B11210 – "Environmental protection and life safety", a student of the SM-20-9k2 group Ongar Bakdaulet took 1st place at the XV Republican Subject Olympiad.

The Department of «Life safety and Environmental Protection», responsible for Education, Senior Mentor, PhD Makulbekova Gulnaz Orazbekovna, organized by the corporate fund «El Umiti», conducted a training «Personal Development Management: goal formulation, planning, time management», aimed at self-improvement, leadership and social activity development.

She defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Uakhitova Bagdagul Tuleuovna on the topic: "Improving the level of occupational safety based on the developed criteria for the professional selection of personnel for the dangerous professions of ferroalloy smelting shop floor." The dissertation was completed at the Department of «Life Safety and Environmental Protection» at M.Auezov South Kazakhstan University.

The dissertation is presented in the form of a dissertation work.
