3 November to 2 December 2016 in accordance with the schedule of events to celebrate the 25th anniversary of  Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the South-Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov was held traditional student Olympics in 12 sports at the Rector of the University Dr., Professor prizes Myrhalykova ZH.U. The competition was attended by 14 teams of higher schools, faculties and colleges. Prize-winning places were distributed as follows:
 

1st place went to the team of faculty "Construction and Transport".
2nd place went to the team of high school, "Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology."
3rd place went to the team of high school "Information technology and energy."
